Our story book pumpkins are the cutest things EVER! Thank you for helping us create some amazing characters out of pumpkins. They will be on display in the library for the next few weeks. (Hopefully I was able to get a pic of everyone's pumpkin, if I missed yours, let me know!)
We had a BLAST at the fall carnival! 17 out of 22 of us were able to make it...that's incredible!!! We had a great time playing games, eating snacks, jumping in a bouncy house, meeting Batman, and of course getting our faces painted. I cannot begin to thank all of the parents that helped make this event spectacular- Seth's mom and aunt, Andrew's dad, Marina's sister, and Chace's mom for face painting, Marina's grandma for serving food, Araceli's mom and dad for bringing Batman, Jakob's mom for getting dunked a million times in the dunking booth, and Kacee's and Zoe's mom for helping with first grade's game booth. It was a team effort but we helped raised $10,000 for Brauchle!!! Enjoy the pictures of this memorable day!
We had a great time going to Holmes for a Dr. Seuss play! They watched in admiration as the high school students performed a wonderful play that paid tribute to Dr. Suess. I tried to get as many pictures as I could!
Congratulations Kacee! She was chosen to have the honor of being the most responsible person in our class. Each month we will have an assembly to honor 1 chosen student who exemplifies the pillar of character that month (trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and respect) The next pillar is respect! Be respectful by being kind to others!
The past few weeks in math, we explored with counting bear manipulatives, dominoes, shapes, nuts and bolts, and more. They AMAZED me with the things they were doing. They were sorting by size and color, making patterns, putting them in order, counting them, comparing them and more! I see the makings of mathematicians in here! (Thank you to the parents that donated nuts and bolts...we are loving them!)
I love being a teacher! This is my 6th year, and I love to watch these amazing kiddos grow right in front of my eyes. I am privileged to provide them with hands on learning experiences that will help them love learning. Have fun taking a peek into our classroom!
