We have had a blast with shapes! We have built shapes using a variety of materials. They are little mathematicians! Maybe they will grow up and become architects! Enjoy seeing their hard work with some difficult tasks. We even made a Google Slides presentation together in Google Classroom! I have some talented techies on my hands!
We had a great time at the fiesta parade! We also had an amazing day of fiesta games and activities. We cracked cascarones on each other, had egg and spoon races, played throw the tortilla, and ate paletas. Enjoy the pictures!!
We earned another experiment! We made bubbles that you can play with! We learned that the more air you put in, the bigger the bubble gets. Our air is powerful!
One way we practiced our spelling words last week was to make a class PowerPoint presentation using all of the words. Each student had their own slide to complete. Check out all of their hard work!
The kids were very excited to conduct this experiment with baking soda and vinegar. They used the droppers filled with food coloring and vinegar to make "mini volcanoes" in a pile of baking soda. Check out our little scientists in the making!
We have spent so much time studying plants! We learned about different parts of a plant (we actually studied the parts of a REAL bluebonnet from Mrs. Guerra's mom's v yard). Then we guessed which parts of a plant we were eating when we ate vegetables like broccoli, celery, carrots, etc. So much fun! We also tried to plant Lima beans by germinating them in a bag. This was not successful but like good scientists we will do our research and try again! Lastly we counted and compared the amount of seeds in a variety of fruits. It has been lots of hands on of learning for us!!
I love being a teacher! This is my 6th year, and I love to watch these amazing kiddos grow right in front of my eyes. I am privileged to provide them with hands on learning experiences that will help them love learning. Have fun taking a peek into our classroom!
