We had a blast on our field trip! We played in the park, had a picnic, and watched a great show! Love these 1st grade memories!
We made it to the 100th Day of School! We celebrated in lots of ways. We raced to see who could write their name the most times in 100 seconds. We made 100 fruit loop necklaces, built 100 cup structures, painted 100 dots, made 100 item crown hats, and even wrote about what we will do before we turn 100 years old. (More on that coming soon!)
We spent a few weeks learning all about How To/Procedural writing! We read how to books and followed the steps to make orange juice and slime. Then we wrote our own How To books- they know how to do lots of things!
Here is some of the fun we have been having in math the last few weeks! I see a room full of future engineers- how about you?
I know this post comes late! We had so much fun during the Christmas season...wish I had captured more moments in pictures! I did capture some games from Polar express day. Then we rang in the New year by celebrating "Noon year's eve" and we counted down to 12 pm!
I love being a teacher! This is my 6th year, and I love to watch these amazing kiddos grow right in front of my eyes. I am privileged to provide them with hands on learning experiences that will help them love learning. Have fun taking a peek into our classroom!
