Presenting.........Mrs. Guerra's first graders in "The Doubles Rap"!!!! We have been working so hard memorizing the doubles rap and practicing our hand motions. We are very excited to show you our skills! (Don't mind the terrible videography...my IPad doesn't take very good videos and my finger made it in a few times! lol)
So Q and U finally tied the knot. It was a beautiful event and we could not have done it without the help of Ms. Ralissa and Ms. Bette! A big thank you also goes to Ms. Garza, Mr. Felix, and Mr. Felan for being willing to spend Valentine's day getting married! Thank you all for your help putting this wedding together! The quarterbacks and queens had a great time!
Our goods and services mall was a success! The kids had SO much fun selling their good or service to their customers (5th graders and their teachers). After the mall was over, we counted how much each business made and graphed the results. Yummy Candy Store made the most, the bakery came in 2nd, and Stampy and Steve's Minecraft Store came in 3rd. Thank you to ALL our families who helped us work on this at home!
Thursday was the 100th Day of School! We celebrated in lots of ways. We made 100 fruit loop necklaces, built 100 cup structures, painted 100 dots, made 100 item crown hats, and even wrote about how we would spend 100 dollars!
We have been working hard on our doubles. Knowing doubles quickly helps in so many ways. One of the ways we practiced doubles this week was to make dominoes out of graham crackers, icing, and mini chocolate chips!
I love being a teacher! This is my 6th year, and I love to watch these amazing kiddos grow right in front of my eyes. I am privileged to provide them with hands on learning experiences that will help them love learning. Have fun taking a peek into our classroom!
