Polar Express Day was a blast! We got dolled up, attended a sing along, opened our presents, drank hot coco, and then took a ride on the Polar Express! Enjoy the pictures- I threw in their elf projects, too!
We loved reading different versions of the gingerbread man story. The kids pointed out some amazing similarities and differences between the stories. I just had to reward their hard work by letting them decorate gingerbread man cookies!
We enjoyed some Christmas fun with our buddy class! The kids were given an unlimited number of toothpicks and green gingerbread play-dough to create a Christmas tree. It was so cool to see what they came up with! They had no guidelines or parameters....some went small and simple, some went realistic and piney, and some went 2D and traditional. Enjoy seeing great minds at work!
Oh how we wish we could ice skate! We read stories about ice skating, watched a few videos of ice skating rinks & figure skating pros, and discussed what it would be like to ice skate. Then we WROTE about what it would be like to go ice skating. We wrapped it up with an ice skating simulation...the gym floor + us in our socks = FUN! When I watch the videos I'm reminded how much I love these kiddos!
Sometimes you just have to do a science experiment! Wish I could have gotten more pictures....tried to get as many as I could!
We had an absolutely fabulous time at the zoo! Despite the misty weather, the animals were all out ready to see us! We also got to go behind the scenes and pet the rhino, which was an incredible once in a lifetime experience! Thank you to Taylor's mommy for arranging this trip for us, as well as all the chaperons who went along, too!
I love being a teacher! This is my 6th year, and I love to watch these amazing kiddos grow right in front of my eyes. I am privileged to provide them with hands on learning experiences that will help them love learning. Have fun taking a peek into our classroom!
